The Koru is the Maori name given to the new unfurling fern frond and symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace. For me it encapsulates "continuous development through life" which is one of my values and I try to work with that for myself as well as with others and the two are inextricably linked. I can only be an effective coach if I'm working with my own development all the time.
I came across the koru symbol on a recent trip to New Zealand. Through a series of meetings, conversations and coincidences I decided that the time was right for a new logo and style - from when People Developments started 12 years ago.
When I found this glass Koru in Auckland airport, in the colours I associate with People Developments - decision made.
I'm very grateful to my son Andrew for developing my logo from the P and D of people developments and including the Koru shape.
